Going into the dark.......... Sometimes the path isn't as clear as it should be and inevitably we get lost...I feel right now I am going in to the dark... why must life be so complicated?

(This thread not intended to bring drama...just to verbalize my present state of mind....) Sorry to hear that you're having a difficult time right now. Been there, done that, and it's never easy. I hope things improve for you. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Life is full of cycles. Sometimes the best we can do is going thru things, hoping new strengh/opportunities will come back later. Don't blame yourself for what happens, cuz nobody's purfect and feeling guilty often complicate things. Try not to loose your faith, and wait 4 better dayz.

I have spent a long time stumbling in the dark.
It was as though I was kicked out of my old life when I developed anxiety disorder, and once I got it under control with medicine and psychiatrist visits, I waited for my life to begin again. I waited, stagnating like still water, and one night I fell asleep behind the wheel, totaled my car into a giant oak tree, lost my parents' support and respect. My beloved girlfriend left me the next day, and in the following months I made an attempt on my own life. I guess the bottom line is, though, I survived all of it. No matter how crooked your path gets, you will get out of the darkness. Even if you have to spend a long time in it, there has to be a change. Your life can become so complicated that you evict yourself from it, and whether you stay on course, or uproot everything and go astray, you are your own navigator and captain. Don't make the mistake I did and think of yourself as a "victim" rather than a "survivor". And don't forget to laugh. Always remember that you are individual, solitary in your uniqueness, and if nobody else loves you, love yourself most of all. Even in the dark.
