U.S. road trip OK hypothetically (for now) lets say you're going on a coach from New York and want to end up in L.A.
DEFINATE stops are Washington DC, Minneapolis, North Carolina and Chicago... Americans (or anyone else) which way do you suggest to venture on this journey? what or where would you suggest I don't leave the US without seeing?

Fisrt off, don't go on a coach Why would you want to be on a coach full of people you don't know for all those hours? Get yourself a 4x4, not a minivan, a proper 4x4, I have never done an trans-american roas trip, but I have been on an Egypt to Morocco trek, took a Land Rover and it saved our lives on a few occasions Wer ist dort? Unterbrechende Kuh. Unterbrech... Muh!!!

Ex-Moderator | I have adored New York, New Orleans ( ), San Francisco, Seattle, Atlanta, Chicago and, of course, my home here in Minneapolis. Vegas is a fun spectacle too. I've always wanted to visit DC, Boston and Savannah (Georgia).
Many of those aren't exactly on the way. |

Ex-Moderator | The southwest is gorgeous, too, but I expect you can see similar land in Australia, what with dessert and mountains and such. I had never seen anything like it in person when I went to Arizona this last April. |

Many of those aren't exactly on the way. SO many of those places I'd love to see... I am going to have to cut it down though unfortunately because otherwise I'be literally criss-crossing all the way over you never DO know though...

If you want to do Mpls & Chicago for sure, I'd suggest maybe crossing in the north, then. New York to DC to Chicago to Mpls, to the badlands in South Dakota (Mount Rushmore is there and its gorseous land) to Seattle then down to San Francisco and finish in LA. You could maybe even fit in a stop at the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame in Ohio. |

I'll be flying back to Sydney or Brisbane from there thanks for the Carrie hon

The only 3 states in the Union worth visiting or living in are:
New York, Florida and California. Those folks in the other states will definately back me up on this statement as I'm pretty sure they're quite miserable living where they do. Even Chicago doesn't count becuase the rest of Illonoise(sp?) sucks ass. Hope this helps.

There are Americans who think delusionally that their states might actually be good places to live, Nat. Do not be fooled!

If you're going to Mpls you may as well shoot up and see me in Winnipeg, its not that far and easy to get across the border that leads from Grand Forks ND as long as you have your passport
