I didn't know until years later the Zombie wasn't my true mother. She told me, when I was a teenager. I had been left on Zombie's doorstep in a basket, in the middle of winter, with a note pinned to my blanket..."please take good care of my baby..for I cannot"...In the early years, I was loved and adored..Zombie came to the school yard and defended me when the other kids had teased me "who's your mommy!?".."who's your daddy??"...children can be so cruel.
Even today, I send flowers and chocolates to Zombie on Mother's day...god bless you Zombie | |
