But what is the point of a race show like that? Tempers will definately flare. Cuase no matter how you slice and dice it--we all identify very strongly with our races.

There are white folks reading our remarks right now who may be quite offended by them. Race is a touchy subject ,and certainly not appropriate for a "game"

Quite true. It seems to me that when people bind themselves together on the basis of their race, their ugliest qualities come out. The idea of "race", which is an artifical construct to begin with, becomes an all consuming thing and the merits of the team are no longer about how smart, agile, or strong the team is but are now due to the race of the team.

The whole basis of the show survivor is that the "smartest" player wins. Once you put race in there it promotes the idea that the smartest "race" wins. It promotes racial supremecy in a very 'Bell Curve' type way.

Despite all my jokes, I think this show will be very damaging to the psyche of America and it turns my stomach. But as my mother always says, "If I don;t laugh about it, then I'm gonna cry."
