I don't even care if they smoke themselves to death. Just don't do it near me. I'm so glad it's banned in public places. Nothing's worse than trying to eat while some a$$wipe is puffing away on his cancer stick.

i don't understand why people smoke. i honestly just don't get it. it smells something terrible, suffocates your skin, and costs all kinds of money. it's just never made any sense to me. I'm constantly puzzled by people who smoke. They're like a freakin' rubics cube or something. or maybe that's giving the issue too much credit confused

I feel the exact same way. I've never smoked a day in my life and I just don't get it. People standing outside office buildings in zero degree weather smoking = wacky

I do care. My mom was a smoker and dying of lung cancer is a sucky way to go.

I work at a company that's suppose to be health related and I'm surprised that there's no tobacco cessation program within the company locally. sad

Yet, I'm sure you understand why people who take heroin do so. It's not that hard to figure out. Addiction, pure and simple.

Actually, I have no idea why people take heroin either. I get the addiction aspect but you can't get addicted if you NEVER start in the first place. That's what I don't understand. Why do people even start, it's nasty and gross and causes a host of health problems that are completely preventable.

Don't get me started on drug addicts, especially heroin. It gets ugly. I REALLY don;t like them and yes, I have known such people.

Ah yeah, well that's a totally different matter. People start smoking for all sorts of reasons - peer pressure, because they think it looks cool, because they grew up with smokers, etc.

I'd have a really, really hard time dating a person who smoked very much. I used to have a fuckbuddy who smoked a few per week, and that was no biggie. But every day. . . yucky.

I had a similar situation with some of my relatives who smoked. I kept telling them they were slowly killing themselves, but it was like talking to a damn wall. I just said, "I give up, do what you want to do, but you will pay the price". Eventually they did.

I can deal with the occasional dabbler but not a heavy smoker. although some cigs are more tolerable taste wise than others nod

there's no need to apologize. hug If you don't feel that smoking kills, ok.

I do have one example of it killing though.

People smoke and use drugs for various reasons. My mother said that it was a different time when she started. It was cool with no health concerns attached to it.

Nowadays, I have NO idea why anyone would start. And Nicotine is just as addictive as other drugs so I do understand that its difficult to stop.

I have some empathy for the smoker BUT I just don't want anyone dying because of it.

It doesn't have to kill but it definitely does kill.

The worst thing about smoking cigarettes (from my experience) is that it doesn't get you high or drunk even, it only alleviates the need for a cigarette and fills some kind of nervous needs.

My opinion on women who smoke?

If it keeps me from having to talk them afterwards & I can just go to sleep,
I'm all for it.
