sorry if some of you got worried by the title of this thread. there is nothing wrong with me. just have to share something with you.

maybe some of you know i am a performer. i was approached to present a show on high schools for Dance4Life. Dance4Life is a dutch organisation for HIV/AIDS awareness and charity. basically it wants to get young adults to get up and dance together, the goal is to have 1.000.000 students dancing at the same time on saturday december 1st 2012.

today i had my first day at this new job. we were watching some heartbreaking documentaries about the situation in the world today.

13 million AIDS orphins
14.000 new infections every day
40.300.000 total of infections world wide, and: 90 % of this number is under the age of 35

at first it made me cry, and then i was overtaken by a great joy: that i am able to do something with my talent and skills (not that i was not doing that already with several theatre productions, but it was very clear to me all of a sudden). in september/october i will be travelling all around the Netherlands and i will start a fire... i will teach children a dance that will unite them. it will be fun and very tiring . i'll keep you informed.

This is beautiful. Aids is a devastating thing, but knowing there are people like you who care out there there is always hope that this disease will slow down or an ultimate cure will be found. people really do appreciate what you do
