Moderator | Hands down... I just think this album is perfect in every way. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

We're supposed to like Revolver now. Sgt Pepper's my choice for "greatest" but Abbey Road & White Album just edge it out in terms of sentimental value and plain ole enjoyment for me. My Legacy

It was the first Beatles album I bought, so it should probably be my favorite but it just isn't. If they took out "Good Morming, Good Morning" maybe it would be. I like The White Album the best I think although I love their earlier output most these days. Please Please Me and Beatles For Sale are way underrated IMO. When I'm 64 would be fine if that was the only time Paul did that kind of thing, but unfortunately, it wasn't. Hard Days Night is a great early one, too. My Legacy

Moderator | I like Revolver and the albums Minnie G listed... but St. Pepper just does it for me...reminds me of whne I was a kid and my dad would play records...oh and Ian...I love when I'm 64...it's cute and Paul wrote the music when hewas akid and shelved it but then added the lyrics for his dad's 64th birthday so that makes it even cuter. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

I side with John Lennon on this one.

I like "When I'm Sixty Four" as well. What's really weird though, is that he's 64 now himself, and I find it kind of sad that he's going through all this divorce business now in his life with Heather and he's not living that quaint lifestyle that he sings about in that song. Oh well. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I think since it doesn't rock as much as The White Album or flow as well as side 2 of Abbey Road, and people don't like every song, people overlook how amazingly well it holds together as a whole, considering the wide variety of the music and the insane sounds and the huge chances they took making those sounds because of the new at the time (now antiquated) recording techniques.
