I got my ears done the first time when I was 9/10. I think people are more scared of the pain than anything else.

But then there are no good places to go where i live.

Ever since I've gotten my naval done I've wanted to get another piercing but could never decide on where. Since I'm becoming a vet, having a tongue, lip, eyebrow, or septum would get in the way of my getting hired anywhere and I would most likely be asked to remove it. However, I've worked with vets who have their tragus done and they have had no problems with their employers.
septum piercings are easy to hide--all you need is a septum retainer. i wear mine to work all the time. all you do is put it in yer nose, flip it up and it's basically invisible. noone will know you're pierced except for you. good luck getting your septum stretched,i heard it can be a bit painful.

The first time I changed my navel piercing they stuck a (clean, sterile, disposable) needle through it to keep it open during the procedure. It didn't hurt any but the belly is so fleshy anyways. This thread is getting me all excited to get my piercing!

I've had mine done, and like them, but BEWARE: they can make it very hard to use a stethoscope! Especially while it's healing, but just period. I had to have one taken out for this reason while I was vet-teching.
Depends on the shape of your ear, though. Otherwise, love 'em. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

Just having something sticking out of the back of your tragus. . . I mean, imagine your pinky is a stethoscope earpiece, and stick it in your ear. . . for mine, there is no way that anything on the back of the tragus wouldn't get a lot of pressure from an earpiece. It's an issue for me with earbuds/in-ear headphones too. Espeically during healing, but I still find them to be uncomfortable. oh noes, prince is gonna soo me!!1!

Yeah, or if I were to do it again, I'd do a rook. i was looking at the rook online. i like it and it looks like it wouldn't get in the way of anything. I think that i might go to a piercer and ask about it and if my ear is the right type for it.
