I'm a special ed teacher. In my first year of teaching I had one student who was blind, and another who was deaf.(actually limited in hearing) So I felt like an ass when I could not help them. So I took a 2 month class at the local Junior College that taught basic braile and sign language that was catered to special ed teachers.
