Recommend places in Germany to Visit I'm being serious.
I need to take my mom to Germany next year for a quick trip (7 to 10 days), and We're flying into Padderborn. From that point I want to head south to Heidelburge then to Munic. But I would like to fill in those days with other areas too.

Yeah, I know. But she carried me for 9 months, and wiped my ass for longer than that, so I owe her as much.

Visit my relatives while you're at it. They're probably still in what was formerly called East Germany. They always gravitate to the funnest place possible.

I'd love too, but we're not going to East Germany. I'm trying to see if I can steal time to visit some orgers.

Rottenberg--the walled city is on the way to munich, there is history there and lots of shopping
when you go to munchen( munich) make sure you visit the museums, it's been a while so I don't quick remember the name of the museum but it is llike out smithsonian, air and space etc..there are also several egyptian museums I am not sure what the exhibits are these days, but while I was there it was fantastic. not sure if you want to visit a concentration camp but there is one very near munich, there are places to visit for shopping crystal factories etc.. I still have many friends in germany if you need more info orgnote me We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color. I just spent a week in Berlin and I loved it! I traveled with my mom as well (so stop joking about that - lol)
I met my half brother (father's son) for the first time. It was a wonderful week! We visited the zoo downtown (I think it's the biggest zoo in Europe actually but not sure). We also visited Charlottenburg and took a very nice boat trip there that lasted about 2 1/2 hours. You go around the exterior of the center of Berlin. We visited the "Filmpark Babelsburg" and saw a live action stunt show. (Loud but cool). This film studio complex is where a lot of films have been shot, including "Flight Plan". I wish I had known about Legoland! It may have been way too far away to visit though. There is so much history in Germany. I really enjoyed myself and didn't want to leave.

Leipzig is where my family line originated from...I have never been there but when my dad was in the Army he was stationed in Germany and visited there and said it is a wonderful city granted this is many years ago, but that is what I would recommend.
My daddy has been to some awesome countrys and it is my goal to visit every country he was stationed in when he was in the Army and the Air Force before I die.
