ING - Direct Anyone use ING direct? How is it? Is there still a bonus?

The check. The string he dropped. The Mona Lisa. The musical notes taken out of a hat. The glass. The toy shotgun painting. The things he found. Therefore, everything seen–every object, that is, plus the process of looking at it–is a Duchamp.

Dammit! As you can see I just typed a response & it disappeared into the Org abyss....
Yes, I have an ING account--since 2002. I love it. The only (potentially) bad thing is that to withdraw money from the ING account one has to transfer it to an external account (i.e checking acct) and then withdraw it from that. This process takes at least 2-3 days. For me, it is good, b/c it means I can't withdraw money on impulse, but if you'll need the money on a moments notice it might be problematic. I also set up accounts for my 4 y.o. niece and 2 y.o. nephew. I have money from my paycheck directly deposited to my account and then on the 15th of every month, ING transfers a set amount from my account to theirs. As soon as their accounts have a certain amount in them, I'm going to roll the money into a CD to earn more interest. I don't know if they still offer a referral bonus (I just looked on the website), but my interest rate is at 4.35%. I say go for it! What are your concerns? [Edited 8/20/06 9:13am] The check. Big thumbsup for ING Direct!! The interest rate is fantastic, and there are no fees involved!! It's not easily accessible so you would have to be pretty much in need of the money if you were to transfer it to your normal account!! No hablo espanol,no!
Pero hablo ingles..ssii muy muy bien... "Come into my world..." Missy Quote of da Month: "yeah, sure, that's cool...wait WHAT?! "
