July 21, 2006 -- We've heard the stories of twins who had visions or heard their identical sibling's voice telling them they were in trouble, only to find out it was true. Or the tale of a mother who just "had a feeling" her child was in danger and rushed to help, ariving at the rescue just in time.

Now scientists at Britain's Manchester University are working to prove the existence of this mysterious sense, commonly known as telepathy — which is the ability to communicate with another person using only the mind — by testing subjects through a virtual reality system.

"Approximately 100 participants will take part in the experiment, which aims to test whether telepathy exists between individuals using the system," read a press release from the university.

The release goes on to say that researchers from the university's school of computer science and school of psychological sciences will test to see if the ability is enhanced by the relationship between participants....


Last year Japanese electronics maker Sony patented technology that uses ultrasonic waves to beam sensory perceptions directly into the brain.



Sights, sounds, tastes, smells and even the sensation of touch would be shot into the brain through a noninvasive technology.



Though the technology would have obvious applications in the entertainment world — imagine video games you can feel and smell, or movies that truly take your breath away — it also has a place in medicine as a tool to give the blind sight, or the deaf hearing.

Well me and my sis are soo tuned into one another we can say the same things, think the same things, choose the same things and finish each others sentences for each other, its weird.

In 5th form at school, my 2 best friends and I tried to use telepathy one one another, it was mentally exhausting.. I dont think anything did happen, but when we messed about with the ouija board and the devil etc etc in a haunted old room, in an old convent, scary things did happen..

I have two close friends who are twin sisters 8 minutes apart from each other. they have this "twin thing" I call it it's spooky!! one of them will say something and then a few minutes later the other will come in and say exactly the same thing (and no without speaking to each other first for all you cynics )

they're very different people but at the same time they are spookily alike

my twin and i have weird shit happening all the time.
We have had the same dreams, once we did the lottery our numbers that
we picked were either one above or one below each others.
theres loads of other stuff too so i believe it happens.

Twins are known for being tuned into each other frequencies from childhood. They seem to have a way of communicationg that us mere mortals cant comprehend.

my mom and i are connected. i usually know when she's phoning me.

in fact once we called each other at the exact same time. it was freaky, we were connected without even a single ring.
