It's like rain on your wedding day.... So we have spent several months planning an outdoor wedding and the forecast is now predicting a high of 70ish and rain for Saturday.
With a high of 70 we can say so long to the boating and water skiing/tubing/swimming that I promised everyone. I'm a little sad because I haven't been out much this year and I was really looking forward to it. Hopefully it doesn't rain all day so we can play the yard games (bean bag toss/rodeo golf/bocce ball etc) that we have planned. I was looking forward to vollyball and badminton as well as I don't get to play very much. I really hope my guests are smart enough not to come early if it's raining because I'm not quite sure how to entertain people for like 6 hours in the rain  .
We are having an informal all day party/wedding. I invited people to come out at 1:00 to play on the lake and in the yard if they wanted. We are serving dinner from 5-7 and then having the ceremony at 7:30. I really really hope it's not raining at 7:30 because while my uncle has a big house it's not ideal to have a 100 people watch a wedding. After the ceremony we are supposed to have a bon fire and sing karaoke and dance so rain would also put a damper on that. Anyway I'm pretty bummed and officially Amy seems really really bummed. So here's hoping for a dry Saturday. I'm considering renting a big tent but if it thunderstorms as they say it might a tent doesn't really help much | |
