yeah, i'd just get the collections. i have a bunch of transmetropolitans that i'm thinking about replacing with the anthologies, then selling the original comics on ebay. i'm not into collecting comics as "collectibles" - i just like keeping the stuff that i think has great writing or art, just for my own enjoyment/reference.

i haven't been to a comic book store in a while...there used to be one within walking distance of my apartment but they moved over towards the metrodome a while ago.
