I saw the film Capote with Phillip Seymor Hoffman last winter and was completely blown away. It made me go to the book store the next day and buy a copy of the book, In Cold Blood. I got so into that book that as soon as I was done I rented the movie with Robert Blake. Anyone who doesn't know the story its about two ex-cons (Robert Blake being one of them) who murder the Cutter family in Kansas in the late 1950s.

I just finished watching the movie...this was one of the most chilling, brilliant, and thought provoking movies I have ever seen. I was surprised on how, even though I knew exactly was going to happen that my heart was RACING at the end when Perry Smith was hanged. The movie being in black and white just added to intensity to the film. Anyone out there who hasn't seen this or Capote, I suggest to definitely check it out. I can't remember the last time a movie affected me as much as In Cold Blood did.

I know I saw the movie a long time ago, but it didn't phase me that much. But the book really got to me. I was out in the middle of nowhere on the res when I read it, bothered me to be out in the country for a while. Actually.I'm always more nervous when I'm out of the city.
