It has an entirely new interface!

-instant search kicks ass! If you have a LARGE library like so many of us do, Just type in the track, album, artist, or a keyword—or even part of a name—and let Instant Search do the work for you. Results are returned with each keystroke, narrowing down the choices as you type, and providing lightning-fast response time, regardless of the size of your library.



-The Now Playing tab now lets you alter a song's playback speed and even play with audio settings like SRS WOW effects!


-In artist view, it groups all albums and tracks together and if you click on the art, it will send the view to all the artists albums that you have in your library.



-adding missing album art is the easiest I've ever seen, find the album art you want, then just drag and drop it onto the icon in WMP, and there you go!!!

-music transfer is simple and nonproblematic with MP3 players they state

-just like iTunes, it lets you edit both MP3 and WMA tags and has a built in media guide for free content streams and downloads of the latest pop culture happenings.

I don't care about the URGE music service because you have to pay for it, but it does seem to have some cool features.

Either way, I'm totally in love with this player right now and I'm still tweaking it to my preferences.


I know there are alot of people that are against WMP, but give the new version a spin, poke around the info on the webpage and see if you like it!

Instant Search was already available on iTunes media player.

Does it support VBR .mp3 format encoding now?
