£10 sofa and £5 sofabed - bargain of the century?

Hi guys! Guess what? I bought a sofa off eBay the other day for £10 for my room (I'm 18, and live with my parents) and it fits pretty well. Then last night I put in a £5 bid for a double sofa bed, which would be so much more convenient. Didn't think I'd win, but I did!!! Could this be the bargain of the century?!?! Now I need to get rid of the other sofa - I reckon I could easily get more money for it just by adding a picture to the listing (there wasn't one before). God, I'm so pleased at my £15 2 piece suite!!!
biggrin

Okay that's it, I'm never buying a used item again! I'm totally spermophobic. Can't even eat alleged mayo because you never know what it might actually be. ill

that fructis hair conditioner I use looks very suspect.

But back to a good bargain,

I got a $599 pram for $5.99
(decimal place in the wrong spot)

AND

on sunday, I nearly got a $297 split system airconditioner for $0.02 because of a barcode error, I could've gotten away with it too, if it wasn't for that moment's hesitation before I pulled out the credit card - bloody check-out chick realised her mistake mad

There are bargains everywhere, it seems! Even though some used items may be quite undesirable.

OMG! Have you read the description of the sofa bed?

The overall colour is mainly wine (red) , with a little cream in.

Cream? What kind of cream?... Man-cream - that's what kind of "cream".

I'm always amazed that people sell used make-up on there. Who would buy used make-up? Hookers?

LOL - cream! I hadn't thought of it in that sense before you mentioned it. Now you're making me want to get off the sofa and never sit on it again! I really must sell it now, it just has to go.

The sofa was in my room, but now it's been moved to the garage because the giant sofa bed is here now. And let me tell you, it really is MASSIVE. Double? More like king size. Gosh, it's better than my other bed that I sleep in all the time!

Of course, the throw went straight on! And some friends of mine will be sleeping on it on Monday night, so it's their bad if they catch anything. I'm gonna deny everything at all costs!
