ok so the pix are oozing emo, but it was 5 oclock in the morning on my way out.
that's right, i left early to go get my hair rebraided, before my mom saw what was developing
so another few months with braids in and then the locs will be making permanent appearances (i had the last batch of braids in for 9months) :

The carnival looks cool .
We have a same kinda fest around this time in Rotterdam .
I personally find it a better time of the year to celebrate it , cause we also have it around February , mainly in the south of The Netherlands .
The fun thing about it , is that the partymood is on a constant roll and lots of women are very horny . The bad thing which sometimes occurs is that you go from cafe to venue to another partyplace . Combined with the drinking , bump & grinding , sweating and getting constantly outside to another place with a cold temperature outside can lead to nasty coughs or colds .

Another fest we have around this time in Amsterdam is the Kwakoe-festival .
It happens all outside with musicians performing and all kinda mediterean food + art available around the area . It mostly takes about a week or so .
