A few years ago my fiance and I went to the lake.
When we got there we couldnt see the moon
As we were leaving we turned around and there was this BIG HUGE yellow sphere in front of us.
I was frozen... eek

I asked him what it was lol
He said "I dont know...hmmm the moon?"

It was soooo BIG. I was scared.
I just stared at it. We drove home (30 minute drive) and I could still see that big huge moon. It was like it followed us.

Great picture.

They get that effect by using a powerful zoom, with the people really far away from the photographer, making them look smaller in comparison to the moon.

Just beautiful Mach. TRON and I were driving back from the top of Michigan's Thumb last night. It was dusk and there were hundreds of deer everywhere (including in the middle of the road). I was focused on watching for them toward the Lake Huron and Nathan was watching the west. All of a sudden he gasped and I hit the brakes, thinking it was a deer. It was the Full Moon coming up ~ pink and huge ~ so beautiful. I immediately said to him ~ ah ~ Nick Drake's Pink Moon. The moon is just the most amazing thing to me ~ a complete wonderment. It makes perfect sense that it affects us so much. When you consider the pull it has on the oceans and that we are mostly water it isn't hard to understand.

i remember when i was really little i was in the back seat of my parents' car and the moon was huge and organe. We were driving past this pond and it looked like you would be able to touch the moon if you stood up in a boat or something. I had never seen that before and I was fascinated by it.

a couple of years ago i turned the corner onto a street that was lined by tree boughs from both sides.
just coming over the horizon and framed by the branches was a huge full moon... it was like it was meant to be captured within the tree boughs love
