Which part? Many our starters going down with injuries right after the trading deadline? Yeah, that's fun... How about our starting pitchers suddenly going down the toilet? Yeah, that's fun too...

But I'm still thinking there's a secret plan to get behind you in the standings, so we can claim Roger Clemens off waivers when they finally all agree that they want to do that.

And for the record, it was actually kind of sad to see Matsui go down like he did - much as I hate that we have to face him so much, he's a great player, and I only have respect for him. I'm not of the opinion that I have to hate players just because they're Yankees.

I thought that was especially nice to see with Pedro, given that he didn't leave Boston on the best terms either.

How about the Sox' penchant for walk-off wins, though? I don't think any other team wins in such an exciting, dramatic fashion as the Sox. 3 of the last 5 games we've been behind at the bottom of the ninth, to come back and win it all (twice behind the bat of David Ortiz, and last night behind the bat of Mark Loretta).

The Red Sox have played two more games than the Yankees, due to scheduling - the Yankees have 63 wins and 41 losses (a .606 winning "percentage" - don't get me started on why it's called a percentage), while the Sox have 64 wins and 42 losses (a .604 winning "percentage"), so we're a few points behind the Yankees, although close enough that in most places they don't write it as being a half-game behind, again because we've played more than them.
