Admiring the Moon : People admire the moon as it rises over Cape Sounio, some 60 kilometers south of Athens, Greece.

eek that's a rockin pic

Just beautiful Mach. TRON and I were driving back from the top of Michigan's Thumb last night. It was dusk and there were hundreds of deer everywhere (including in the middle of the road). I was focused on watching for them toward the Lake Huron and Nathan was watching the west. All of a sudden he gasped and I hit the brakes, thinking it was a deer. It was the Full Moon coming up ~ pink and huge ~ so beautiful. I immediately said to him ~ ah ~ Nick Drake's Pink Moon. The moon is just the most amazing thing to me ~ a complete wonderment. It makes perfect sense that it affects us so much. When you consider the pull it has on the oceans and that we are mostly water it isn't hard to understand.

I've always liked your avatar! biggrin

mrdespues

it was fucking huge in sydney tonight... makes everyone go nuts

of course it only looks big because of the comparison of your surroundings and the position in relation to the horizon

And I you, baby. hug Yes, I am a vegetarian and have rescued many, many animals ~ several with Nathan. Three of my four current animals were rescued ~ then there is the lovely Paris, Indigo's sister ~ neither of whom have had to suffer during there lives as we got them when they were wee babes. It probably took us two hours to drive from Port Austin where we were, to my house in Port Sanilac ~ maybe 64 miles but we were watching for deer and distracted by the moon the whole way. Luckily it is a very rural lake highway so there weren't too many drivers to be annoyed by my slow driving.

I didn't know you loved Nick Drake too! I just had him playing on my iPod.

Hehehe, in 1991 I went through my Nick Drake phase... totally rockers.

Then again when the remasters were released.
