Saviour of deer too. PURRRR And I you, baby. Yes, I am a vegetarian and have rescued many, many animals ~ several with Nathan. Three of my four current animals were rescued ~ then there is the lovely Paris, Indigo's sister ~ neither of whom have had to suffer during there lives as we got them when they were wee babes. It probably took us two hours to drive from Port Austin where we were, to my house in Port Sanilac ~ maybe 64 miles but we were watching for deer and distracted by the moon the whole way. Luckily it is a very rural lake highway so there weren't too many drivers to be annoyed by my slow driving.
