If I were you I'd go with the half your age plus 11.5. nod

I don't see anything wrong with that if you if there is something there.

Of course, I find 18-20 year old girls dull and uninsteresting, though I do think they are cute. shrug

I think once you reach 24-25, 18 is just too young. It always depends on the people involved, of course. But in general, no way. I fact, I think once I turned 21 I wouldn't have dated anyone younger than that.
My range now is about 25-45. I'm 31.

The youngest I dated was 23 and he was/is so immature (I was 30).

I think dating someone under 21 is gross.

Young guys are so much fun in some ways but they can be incredibly annoying in general.

what's taboo? nothing, really. i mean, a 57 year old dating a 15 year old is kind of skanky, but if you're one of the rolling stones and you can pay off the girl's parents, then i guess it somehow becomes okay. shrug

i don't really like dating outside my generation. i like people who understand my pop culture references and also people who have roughly the same emotional experience that i have. i don't like needing to explain a bunch of things that someone's not able to appreciate anyway.

I remember being in my lower 20's.
My entire attitude about girls in general was that I could do whatever I wanted becuase they would eventually forgive me anyways.

Somewhere after 25, women stop forgiving. lol

me too; almost totally agree. however i also like to have my comfort zones stretched... for me it's a trap if i tell myself i don't like explaining things to people... sometimes it can be very rewarding to do so and i don't just mean that in a "sacktime" sense.

but yeah, i've had the experience of having my jokes and sensibilities hit dead air with some girls and it sucks. then again, it's humbling too and can force you to come up with better material.

shrug

it's worse when you're dating someone older and they don't get it. not only is it dead air, but they can make you feel like a dumbass or they can say "that must be AFTER my time". rolleyes

I have to admit that I am very attracted to younger guys but I just can't do it anymore. Too much trouble and drama.

I have never dated older than me. I guess around my age is good. Paul Walker is my age. I'd date him!!

There's a girl I like at Best Buy that I wanna ask to a friend's party. But she might be 17. I have no idea. I'd like to contribute to the delinquency of a minor(who wouldn't?) but sometimes there's jail time involved.

i am not even positive on her age anyway. but in any case, giving out an anonymous email address won't hurt if she's interested.

Exactly. She might even be 19 or 20. smile

I think the note is a safe option for all concerned and shouldn't alert the authorities.

or 14 or 15...

i remember being 18 and i really had no business being with anyone over the age of 20 even though i did love older guys. thank goodness they all saw me as being too young.

I have never dated anyone younger than me. The smallest age gap was almost 2 years older than me, and the oldest woman I have ever gone out on a date with was 35. I am 26. I tell you its all about that half your age plus seven rule!

I had the mentality of an 84 year old with my last relationship... now I'm out of that one I feel the same as you, minus all the drugs and endless depression, so it's cool.
