Sounds like it-you went without eating didn't you? Well, get some extra fluids and rest up. You still did great wink .

Oh no, I got to eat. We were able to leave and come back. I didn't get to eat when I auditioned for Popstars 2. I almost fainted.

That's cool that they did give you guys a break for things like this cool . Will you audition again next time?

I can't. I'm at the age limit. I would have to go to another city.

They didn't let people know they could leave. We had to ask around to know. They had one concession open and the wait was over an hour and way too expensive

lol ur just NOW realizing that?? sorry 4 ya loss tho

Well, I honestly thought that everyone got to audition for Simon, Paula, and Randy. I realize now that people need to be pre-auditioned. Someone else, who auditioned for the second season, told me there is a certain number set aside for how many crazy people they let through. Those people go straight to Paula, Simon, and Randy. They don't have to go through several rounds

Someone should act crazy just to get through and then blow the judges away. The problem is the judges may not take you seriously because of the way you look. Simon dimissed a guy last year dressed as the statue of liberty. He literally sang one note (sounded good) and Simon was like "That's it. Bye bye. You're out of here"

ohh no i thought it was only one audition too, i meant about the show basically being bullshit. after watching it damn near religiously the first 3 seasons i began to notice they had sucky ass people on there (justin guarini anyone?) and were fuckin over the people that were different (either in looks or talent, remeber the guy from new orleans that i think he did i put a spell on u)
that "crazy quota" thing really is wat surprised me tho, although now it does explain some things
Yesterday is dead...tomorrow hasnt arrived yet....i have just ONE day...
...And i'm gonna be groovy in it!

Yup yup!! I learnt all this rot when I auditioned for Australian Idol- the very first series!! I was like omfg ...talented people were coming out from the first round and i was like hmm if THAT was goin on, then clearly 'talent' is not ALWAYS what they're looking for!! THey wanna put a show together and clearly make it interesting for viewers. My singing teacher at the time told me that and I wasn't sure what to think cause the show hadn't gone on air yet. But when i saw the show i understood what was going on lol ...My advice is not to take it to heart cause it's just a tv show and the people who do get through- even the talented ones...are just lucky that the first and second round judges happened to decide they were the talented ones they'd let through that particular season! nod When i auditioned i was told i had a brilliant strong voice, but just not for this season. My jaw dropped!! Cause i woke up at 4am to be there and i know for sure that i did a damn good audition despite all that (if i mucked it up, i'd be the first to admit it wave ) so i was all like confuse when i walked out from there. I think they saw my jaw drop cause they told me 'PLEASE don't be deterred from trying again, it's just that we have to say no this time around, okay?' i was like hmm ...i haven't gone back to that competition. It's a good oppurtunity and yet i feel perhaps i'm better than using a tv show to get publicity (though it is rather ideal in some respects...so long as people don't forget you 2 months later!!)
No hablo espanol,no! no no no!
Pero hablo ingles..ssii muy muy bien... nod
music "Come into my world..." music

You should've tried out for this year. Make sure you get your arse down there next year and do it!

Thanks! hug I might up to the Seattle auditions next month since I am at the age limit and will not be able to try again next year. Depends on how I feel. The experience rubbed me the wrong way. Some people were in tears

I think you should definately try again, especially as you are not able to go next year. I can't sing so would never be able to do what you are doing. I think you deserve many congratulations for going to L.A. It sounds as if it is their plan not to put people through who audition later in the day. How easy would it be for you to go to Seattle and stand in line at 4.00 or 5.00 a.m? Is this at all realistic? If it is possible then do it and good luck - at least then you will not be left wondering, "What if?"

hug
