Nah, see for me 'cute' and 'attractive' and 'hot' are all SO much more than what someone looks like. I just can't separate the two.

So many people say that, and I do agree that attractiveness is so much more than looks.

However, people do not physically morph from something pleasing to look at to something ugly or vise versa because of their personalities. If someone is hot but a moron, they will still be hot to me. That doesn't mean that I will be attracted to them. I can find someone good looking but not be attracted to them at all just as I can find a great personality/not so great looks combo very attractive.

Looks and personality are too totally seperate things to me and I never confuse the two.

And I would never call someone that was really good looking "ugly", I would call them an asshole/bitch, albeit a hot one.

I totally get what you're saying. And I understand that objectively there are the properties of what someone looks like and how they behave and that they are 2 different things.
But for me, people DO kinda morph in a way. Of course, I'm someone who has body image issues. What I see in the mirror is not what I objectively look like. I don't really know what I look like. lol When I look at a picture of myself, it's kinda like what others experience when they hear a recording of their voice. 'Is that what I really sound like? Weird!' It's an odd phenomenon. And I didn't totally realize I viewed myself differently until a few years ago. But I've noticed its not only how I see myself, but how I 'see' other people as well. Once I get to know someone, their physical features do sort of change in my eyes. Features I may previously have found attractive are no longer so or things I may not have noticed or even found distasteful become endearing and cute. Which is why I just cannot separate the two. It's just inextricably linked.

Very interesting. I totally see what you are saying, I'm just not the same way.

Sorry to hear that you have body issues to the point where you are actually not seeing what is really there in the mirror. I think that's called Body Dysmorphic Disorder. sad

i'm totally completely the same way. it's only in the past few years that i've gotten some idea of what i look like, but even still...i'm not really sure. i mean, i know the basics. eye color, skin color, blah blah. but people will describe me a certain way and i'm like "really?! that's how you'd describe me?! weird."

someone once said that if you want to see yourself the way others see you, you have to look in a reflection of a reflection of yourself. i don't know about all that.

anyway. i never thought about how this extends to how i see other people. i think it's easier to get a feel for how other people look than it is to get a lock on what i look like. shrug

Actually, I feel great today. biggrin But a bitch is a bitch!

And btw, this isn't based on that girl Lindsay. This is based on party girl 1.0. Lindsay is party girl 2.0. Anyways, Lindsay just put me in her top 8, so things could be worse. I've known her for a week! cool

Yes it's exactly like that.

My sig came from the NIN video and thought it was cool. I'm a safety boy though.
