Sorry to hear that man. It's always hard with kids that young, cuase they don't understand that the pain is natural and normal.

My oldest nephew cut his foot on a metal door in a bookstore, and I had to take him the emergency room. It made for a very bad night. I felt helpless and was totally relieved when his folks arrived in the emergency room. Being a grownup is very hard for me. lol

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Oh yeah.been there myself. neutral
The cast doesn't get any easier too. Unless they get rid of the plaster cast and put a fibreglass one on, that one is good! You can shower with it and it doesn't itch. razz

Thanks everyone grouphug

He had a rough night...but after a few days he'll be used to it. He seemed to be fine, but I knew it wouldn't be long before the itching and the claustrophobia would hit and sure enough.... We were driving home from dinner when he started squeeling....I pulled over and he said it was itching him... so after a few tenuous moments, I took off my sunglasses and finagled(sp?) them under his cast to get to the itchy spot...then came the 25 minute chat " I want my cast off....I WANT my cast offfff".... sad

A few hours later I talked him off the ledge and he settled down.

Thanks again for all of your well wishes..... grouphug

hug It is...he was trying his best to be a "big boy" for me....then he saw me walk in to the ER and started bawling..... he's such a great boy....I think it's cute and heartbreaking at the same time to see my boys try to suck up the pain in front of me....maybe I need to reassure them more often that it is okay to cry when it hurts.... boxed
