I LOVE Blackadder. Mr Bean is good too for different reasons.

Rowan Atkinson hasn't had a good role/tv series in ages.. I think he's kind of dropped off, now.

oh no, i know what show it is, but if you know english humour or culture at all, you should know also that "i don't know about that one, though" could also mean that i don't like it.

vicar of dibley? i like that one. it's very schmaltzy, but what can i say. dawn french makes me laugh.

i don't really "get" rowan atkinson. he seems to do what he does very well, but it's like tim allen back when he was popular. people seem to be laughing at this person but i don't know why. sad

yeah, i've seen blackadder. that show kind of reminds me of the geeky friends i had in high school who went to ren faires and used to try to make me listen to stories they read about sexual deviancy in medieval times or some shit. well-meaning and friendly enough, but oh my GOD so annoying. rik mayall was on that show sometimes and i love him, even when he's on something i don't particularly like.

Some of my favourite brit-coms are:
Black Books

Monty Python (sketch comedy)
Fawlty Towers
Dad's Army

and it's not really meant to be a comedy but I LOVE the Grumpy Old Men/Women series.

The biggest problem with these shows is the millions of people walking the planet, who either completely miss, or forget the joke but feel that so long as they do "the funny voice" and bitch about a dead parrot or some such that they are being clever
