Hobbitch

What i wanna know is why if we have to tip at certain restaurants or bars, why we don't have to tip at McDonalds or Wendy's. those folks work harder than a lot of places I go to.

On a side note, I went to Outback (never again) and when the waitress brougt the bill, she had a picture of her kids in the little envelope thingy. That was so fuckin' tacky. We didn't tip her, not because of that, but she gave lousy service. The picture of the kids defnately didn't help.

I worked for Maccies in the late 80's and you are right, hard work and no appreciation.....People see Fast Food restaraunt workers as dumb and unnecessary..I worked on Blackpool Seafront here in the UK and I remember an American couple coming in (hubby and wife) and she said "Oh George isn't this so Quaint".....I nearly pissed my pants laughing !!!

But they don't come to your table 50 times & cater to your every need - they hand you shit from across the counter (or through a window) & you seat yourself, get your own straw/napkins, etc. It may be hard work but I wouldn't put it on par w/ waiting tables in terms of the amount of interaction w/ the customer. Plus they get their whole check while servers barely get a check at all...
heart prince I never met you, but I LOVE you & I will forever!! Thank you for being YOU - my little Princey, the best to EVER do it prince heart

I wish I made that much.

How are they being greedy if it's the money people are leaving for them? Are they supposed to say "Sorry but I already made enough money tonight so I don't want any more..."?????

lol ...in all seriousness, there IS a laziness factor involved. nod

Once I was at the car wash and a lady was raising hell b/c the attendant didn't close the door properly before sending the car through.
doh!

Are you familiar with the Rover 75? There was this guy who just bought one brand new - Only had it about a month and he took it through a car wash, because of the size of the car the rollers damaged the wings at the front. Obviously the guy wasn't happy eek
