Maybe I'm just too selfish and smug in my own perception and understanding of human nature that I don't feel the need to criticise or chastise the guy. Every word every one of us types here, I tend to anylise the intent - not the actual words that went together to make the sentence.
I like to think you find out more about the person if you pinpoint the intent their words are loaded with rather than the bluff or blah the person wrote.
This place isn't a true baromenter of reality - we continually second guess ourselves here becuse communication isn't instant like the spoken word - therefore everything is loaded with an underlying intent. Fir example 'Spats, you're an asshole' becomes 'I am a good person who respects women.' But you would never say that in real life becuse people would wonder why you doth protst to mucheth. That's why I'm suspicious of most posters here. Intent.
This is what keeps me coming back here, I suppose. I'm just a voyeur who writes the occasional post generally coneying the persona of Devil's Advocate. People are generally suprised I'm so easy going when they meet me. And that's all I have to really say just now.

I tend to look at a person as a whole- not just one post. I have been around here long enough and I can read ppl with more then just one comment.
I personally find some of the things Spats says about women degrading- that is based on reading many of his posts- not just one in particular.
Me being a women - I tend to feel like I need to stand up and argue some of his comments.
I do not think anyone wishes Spats any harm and I think he knows that.. here again he keeps coming back for more..
