gemini13	I'm going to the Gilroy Garlic Festival Yes, the armpit of the South Bay is having it's annual Garlic Festival. I never go anywhere, so I'm gonna go drink Gordon Biersch and maybe enter a singing contest. Who knows? I hope it's fun. What are you doing today?

ok, but you could tell me, why is it called garlic festival? Is it about eating garlic? What does singing have to do with garlic? And what does Gilroy have to do with garlic?

Gilroy is the Garlic Capital of the World, so all the food has garlic in it in some fashion. There's even garlic ice cream!

There's supposedly some singing contest in the afternoon, and the winner gets $1000 in gasoline. biggrin

That's what I heard anyway.
