i have to agree

if you are an ardent viewer of all things cinema

then you must realize that this formulaic "seen it in ray" piece of celuloid

rehash is not what i would call an oscar worthy product

just watch coming home to get the propper perspective

this was like an after school movie

I watched Walk the Line last night and I thought it was good.

I though Ray was worse. The way the record producers & even Ray's wife talked

"Nobody's ever blended Gospel & R&B in a way quite like this!"

was so unnatural it made me want to puke. JF was great, obviously.

Both movies (particularly Ray) made it seem like neither did a goddamn thing of note after quitting drugs.

After my wife was raving about seeing this again, we rented for me to watch for the first time. I thought it was alright but boring. She loved it.
Man, what's up with all these druggy rock stars. Nobody has any self-control in their own life. Can't wait to get to the top by busting their ass their entire life, and when then do they all gotta do the drugs to handle the stress.

I say control your own life and destiny and don't let it control you.
Very sad I must say to see all these stars turn to drugs and alcohol to cope with.

Elvis, Jerry Lee Lewis, Johnn Cash, Ray Charles.....etc.

The movie bored me. confused

Walk the line was good but way overrated. And Witherspoon has no boobage to display. And she is an ugo. Phoenix dose not even look like Cash and as far as i can remember Cash never had a big scar on his upper lip like Phoenix has.

I really enjoyed it. smile I heart June Carter Cash as a character and really, she sort of stole the show, though I found Phoenix's portrayal more than adequate. And I love the music, so there's that.
I wasn't so much a fan of Ray. Jamie Foxx was awesome, and the performance scenes were great fun but it was poorly edited and lacked focus. And ended abruptly. It just did not do a good job of telling a coherent story.

It was a well made and well acted movie, I just didn't care for the way it ended so abruptly. They rushed through him reuiniting with his dad at the end.
