Got a call from her pre-school this morning telling me that she fell over and hit her head. After they calmed her down, she apparently threw up and felt drowsy. Well....that tells me straight away that she has concussion.
I asked them to make sure she stays awake while I raced down to the school and collected her. Got there and she seemed ok. She knew where she was but I took her straight to the doctor here and she looked her over. The doctor said she hadn't had a really bad hit but I'm to keep an eye on her all today for any more signs. So far she's been fine. I've made her drink lots of water and only fed her light foods. She's already had two costume changes and made me do her hair in a pony tail. 
I think she's recovered fine.
The thing is that my wife is away today in another state and this would have to happen on my watch. I'm going to be in sooooo much trouble when she gets home tonight. Oh mate awful. Hope all is well  < that is for the small person not you butt munch | |

Althom,
You are a great dad. Kids fall down, even when we do our best to watch over them. I pray that there won't be a day when stitches come into the picture or a cast on a wee arm, but we can't predict it, or always be prepared ahead of time.
All we can really do is care for the kiddos and love em to bits, and do our best to keep them safe. | |

i work in the emrgency dept-if theres one thing thats a fact working in emergency medicine-(im a father as well) kids are going to fall down alot!(and worry their parents AN AWFUL LOT!!) | |
