How goes it in your neck of the woods?

It's so cozy here in Georgia. It's raining this morning and the sound of thunder rumbles in the distance. I'd still be in bed if I didn't have plans today- there's nothing more comforting than sleeping in to the sound of rain, but I've agreed to paint my brother's master bed room in his new home and I've got a Bday present to deliver, so I'll have to luxury of driving (damn it's raining HARD now) in the rain.

I am one of the few homo sapiens that appreciates hot and humid weather and here in Michigan this time of year, thats exactly what u get. Its getting well into the 90s today with a heat index over 100 degrees. Severe thunderstorms are expected later on. I just hope that people get their pets out of the heat, check on the elderly and drink plenty of water. This sort of heat kills. Other than that, its gorgeous! smile

You should've been in Holland for the last two weeks, a lot of people died, we're not used to temperatures above 90, the humiddity was unbearable to most.

But today finaly it rained and it seems to cool down a lot woot!

It's pretty sunny and hot out now. I think it was Thursday or one day last week, it was so hot out that my windshield wipers were stuck to my windshield. There was some pollen on my winshield, so I go to turn the windshield wipers on to get some of it off. They wouldn't budge, and I thought "damn, my wipers are broken sad". I turned the switch a few times....still nothing. That's when I get out of my car to see what the problem is and they were literally glued to the windshield. This is the first time that's happened. lol I really did slightly panic at first, because I thought about not having windshield wipers when it's pouring down raining. I can't see shit out when it's raining.

I love to walk outside and it feels like a steambath. Almost like nature's own spa treatment. Ive vacationed in Atlanta and Savannah and I had a wonderful time. Great weather.

In my neck of the woods (that's Copenhagen, Denmark) we've had a heat wave for weeks now and I am very tired of it, because it's hard to sleep when it's so warm. I've slept really lousy recently, waking up several times during the night. sad

Thankfully, today marks the end of it. (Or more precisely, tomorrow does). It'll be cooler and rainy. I am so looking forward to that. razz

It'll be nice to be able to sleep well at nights again - without a noisy ventilator or open windows and earplugs because of the city noise. Yes, indeed. One more night of heat and then cooler nights have arrived. woot!
