ESPN fires baseball analyst.... Harold Reynolds the ESPN baseball analyst was fired because he questioned ESPN the company about it's racial policy on the Barry Bonds steroids issue. They report and go after Bonds at every turn but when Mark Mcquire was playing they had a HANDS off policy. Very interesting..... [Edited 7/28/06 11:50am]

I agree. Its a shame the way they have tried to destroy Barry Bonds as if he is the only athlete in baseball that has ever used p.e.d. Sometimes watching ESPN is like watching FoxNews. They have a clear agenda. Its blatantly racist. They are treating Bonds like some kinda whipping boy.

Pardon me for not looking into this more carefully (I truly don't care enough), but Bonds has been proven to have used steriods. He should be out of the game and his records erased (as should everyone else who is guilty).
McGwire's use was speculation until the very end, when the cream was discovered in his locker. I say take the record back to 56 HR's and get these bums out of the game. Jose Canseco told it all in his book...McGwire, Pudge, Gonzalez, Palmero, Bonds, Giambi...all users. Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

Jose Canseco told it all in his book...McGwire, Pudge, Gonzalez, Palmero, Bonds, Giambi...all users. The only problem with that is that roids weren't a banned substance then so none of them broke any baseball rules. Now, to go back and erase records is senseless because then you'd have to question damn near everyone in that era and even before. Also, if you have to erase those records then you have to erase the records of players like Babe Ruth because he played in an era in which the talent pool was compromised - No Blacks were allowed to play. Reynold's spoke on the truth, but again, "truth about racism" is never tolerated so they cut loose the "problem-maker" and brush the problem back under the rug. God bless America. ~This brown experience made me the man that I was meant to be~

A lot of it has to do with personality. McGwire was a likeable guy - very fan friendly, etc... Bonds, by all accounts, isn't the most friendly guy... By comparison, it's fairly obvious that Sosa was juiced as well, but since he's a fan friendly guy and he wasn't really run through the ringer....

Interesting indeed because what's being reported is that he was fired because of a sexual harrassment charge...
July 26, 2006 -- After being accused of sexual harassment and fired by ESPN, former "Baseball Tonight" analyst Harold Reynolds said yesterday he doesn't think he did anything wrong and is still hoping to regain his job. "This was a total misunderstanding," Reynolds told The Post. "My goal is to sit down and get back. To be honest with you, I gave a woman a hug and I felt like it was misinterpreted." Reynolds declined to give any more details. The woman who accused Reynolds of the sexual harassment is an ESPN co-worker, according to sources. http://www.nypost.com/spo...rchand.htm ... tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. Harold Reynolds arrives with wife Kelly.
I can't believe Harold got into trouble. He was a member of the Seattle Marieners Baseball team for over 10 years. He was mellow, chillin, soft spoken and a well liked person on and off the field. He was Mr. Mariner. He still is. To me. Harold Reynolds Bats Both, Throws Right Height 5' 11", Weight 165 lb. Debut September 2, 1983 Final Game August 7, 1994

I can't blame him too bad though. I've always wanted to sexual harass. Hannah Storm.

Report: Reynolds fired for sexual harassment THE ASSOCIATED PRESS http://seattlepi.nwsource...lds27.html NEW YORK -- Harold Reynolds was fired by ESPN from his job as a baseball analyst after he was accused of sexual harassment, the New York Post reported Wednesday. The former Mariner and Gold Glove-winning second baseman, a member of the "Baseball Tonight" team for 11 years, said he didn't do anything to warrant his dismissal and wants his job back. "It was a total misunderstanding," Reynolds told the Post. "My goal is to sit down and get back. To be honest with you, I gave a woman a hug and I felt like it was misinterpreted." The newspaper, quoting sources, reported that the woman is an ESPN employee. On Tuesday, ESPN spokesman Josh Krulewitz said Reynolds, 45, made his last appearance on the show Sunday. ESPN refused to comment on reports that Reynolds was dismissed, or to provide any details regarding his departure. "All I can say is he is no longer working here," Krulewitz said.

I suppose they are making up the racial issue as well?
Was it a Sexual foul or have Racism and Censorship surfaced as ESPN fires Harold Reynolds Filed under: Breaking News— FYI @ 5:42 pm Harold Reynolds is no longer a baseball analyst for ESPN. A member of the “Baseball Tonight” team for 11 years, he made his last appearance on the show Sunday night, according to a network spokesman, who refuses comment on a New York Post report that Reynolds was fired. Reynolds played 12 seasons in the major leagues. He joined ESPN in 1996.Harold Reynolds was fired for speaking out behind the scenes about……The way ESPN has gone after Barry Bonds, but not once did they make any effort to go after Mark McGwire during his known Steroid days… Reynolds was even was told during this stint (1998-2001) to not even allege that Mark McGwire was using steroids. Reynolds told Espn his first hand knowledge about Mark McGwire’s steroid usage, and was told to never mention it publicly. Now its open season on speculating about Bonds, the African American that its seems ok to accuse of steroid usage.Reynolds went off behind the scenes and got fired for venting his frustration about this racist policy. ESPN shot back with a counter breakdown via NY Post, reporting Harold Reynolds was fired by ESPN from his job as a baseball analyst after he was accused of sexual harassment, the New York Post reported Wednesday. Reynolds a memberof the Baseball Tonight team for 11 years, said he didn’t do anything to warrant his abrupt dismissal and wants his job back. Reynolds told the Post. “My goal is to sit down and get back. To be honest with you, I gave a woman a hug and I felt like it was misinterpreted.” The newspaper, quoting sources, reported that the woman is an ESPN employee. Many are still speculating how an employee of more than a decade could be fired so quickly without so much as a hearing on any allegations of his conduct. See, you were better off just saying you don't remember instead of trying to make it sound like I'm some crazy conspiracy theorist. It wasn't about that at all. It was about a report by the world health organization. You claimed they were full of shit and that you could prove it if you had more time to read the report blah blah blah. If you say you can prove something, prove it. Talk is cheap.
