High School Reunion madness I went to my 20th high school reunion last weekend. It was madness! A total blast. I spoke to more than a dozen people I never even knew in high school. Some guy who was a total stoner and got expelled before our senior year told me he had a major crush on me at the time. Now I have to figure out how to find his phone number. I met all these former nerd-punk guys (who I didn't know at the time) who were fascinating and fun. The class genius walked me to my car after the party. I had drinks with the popular kids beforehand because a childhood friend invited me in and they all remembered my name. I found out my former friend who was diagnosed with schizophrenia my senior year is now an outstanding painter with a large body of work. People in my old social group were like , still acting like wallflowers. I confessed my biggest high school crush to the guy's brother. A woman I never knew existed introduced herself as a movie producer and told me to send her my script.
The best part was meeting and speaking to people I NEVER interacted with at the time. I just threw myself out there.

Of the people who showed up (way more than I ever expected), there seemed to be two camps.
1) The people who still had issues and wore it all over themselves, didn't mingle, posed, or clung to the same old cliques. These people were really boring to talk to. 2) The people who didn't give a crock and just opened up and talked to you despite history or former social status. That's when the magic happened.
