Not as far as the next Batman though.

The BEST superhero franchise, EVER!!! Sam Raimi is f-n God to a comic-book geek like me. FYI, I heard Christopher Nolan is signed for two more Batman films(featuring the Joker & Two-Face). I pray Heath Ledger as the Clown Prince is just an internet rumor. Superman will fight an alien in his next movie(Darkseid? Doomsday? Brainiac? Imperiex? Oh baby!).

She hated Spiderman because she thought he killed her father, Police Captain George Stacy. She was taken hostage by the Green Goblin & tossed off of a bridge. Marvel continuity is non-existant as far as this story goes and it alternates between being the George Washington or Brooklyn Bridges. Spidey tried to save her by shooting her with a web-line. While he did get her before she hit the water, the sudden deceleration may have snapped her neck. In any event, Peter feels responsible for her death. The first movie took some liberties and morphed the Mary Jane/Gwen character's stories into one. It'll be interesting to see where Raimi & company take this potential 3-way love traingle.

I won't sweat it though because 1)I don't know that actor and 2)they did a close to perfect job on the first one, so let's trust them.

Anything else in the Marvel universe is pretty much non-existant to me. Thanks for clearing that up. This will be interesting to see... The first movie took some liberties and morphed the Mary Jane/Gwen character's stories into one. It'll be interesting to see where Raimi & company take this potential 3-way love traingle. The reason for the confusion, from Wikipedia: First, from which bridge did Gwen fall? The bridge in the original issue of Amazing Spider-Man #121 was stated in the text to be the George Washington Bridge. The Pulse #4 (September 2004) also states the bridge to be the George Washington Bridge.
The art of Amazing Spider-Man #121 depicts the Brooklyn Bridge. Some reprints of the issue have had the text amended and now state the bridge to be the Brooklyn Bridge rather than the George Washington Bridge. Also, Amazing Spider-Man # 147-148 (1975) and Amazing Spider-Man Annual #21 (1987) imply that Gwen fell off the Brooklyn Bridge. In a television interview for the Travel Channel's "Marvel Superheroes Guide to New York City" (2004), Stan Lee states that the artist for the issue had drawn the Brooklyn Bridge, but that he (as editor) mistakenly labeled it the George Washington Bridge. Further confusing the issue, as discussed in greater detail elsewhere in this article, Mary Jane Watson was thrown off the Queensboro Bridge in both Ultimate Spider-Man #25 and the Spider-Man movie. Marvel, officially, recognizes the George Washington Bridge to be the site of Gwen's death.
