AMERICAN APPAREL: verdict? NAY. i need to buy some blank tees...i think it would run cheaper to make my own kinda shirts than buying something that couldve been easily made par moi...
i havent looked @ prices yet, but does anyone know if american apparel is the good way 2 go? any other suggestions? [Edited 7/25/06 11:14am]

Yay!
I shop there a lot. I love how comfy but still sexy their pieces are. They are nothing like American Eagle or the others that were mentioned.

I never heard of American Apparel Try a sporting goods outlet. They have blank tees, sweatshirts, long T-s, hoodies, ringers ,etc of all colors. I buy my shirts from those stores whenever I wanna make my own. Some sporting goods places will even screenprint your design for you. I'm sure somewhere cheap like Old Navy would probably have a blank T-shirt with a snugger fit. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

oh, and american apparel:
they opened a store in my neighborhood and i swear, i've never seen anyone go in there. i know they're all principled and enviro-friendly and that's great and all, but i don't want to pay $30something bucks for a t-shirt that doesn't even fit me right. i have a couple of concert t's by american apparel which were oddly affordable (i bought them at the shows). i have a green sufjan one that makes me look only mildly lumpy, and i have a black peaches t-shirt that i'm not sure how i'll fit into unless i acquire the physique of beeker from the muppet show.

Really? Their ads are a little risqué, supposedly featuring actual store employees. They've been on the back cover of the Village Voice for months now. http://www.americanapparel.net/

Do you have a Steve & Barry's University Sportswear in your area? They have tons of tshirts in there, and everything in the store is like under 8 bucks.
Also, places like Burlington Coat Factory and TJ Maxx usually have alot of cool oddball shirts.
