Hell, get Uma Thurman to do it. She's tall enough...all she has to do is add some muscle and dye her hair black. Oh HELL NO!!!! First off, she couldn't be more wrong for the part. Other than her height, she has NOTHING in common with her. Second, after her performance in Batman & Robin, she should never be allowed near a DC Comics property again. You won't see a Marvel film until late in the next decade, IMO. WB is doing two more Batman films, a Supes sequel & Joss Whedon's working on Wonder Woman. I prefer WB make Justice League(featuring the Big 3) before tackling the Big Cheese. New Line Cinema is currently in charge of the production for a Captain Marvel film. But leave it up to The WB, they'll go for the Wonder Woman movie first. 2 more Batman films will follow. And the next thing you know, We'll be wondering in 2010, why the hell we still don't have Captain Marvel on the big screem yet! Actually, New Line was suppossed to be fast-trakcing one about four years back. For various reasons, the film got stuck in Development Hell. Quite simply, WB (who owns New Line) is concentrating on their "big guns" right now, with Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman all getting priority treatment. HOWEVER, other JLA members like The Flash and Green Lantern have films in the work as well. In fact, there is a good chance that David Goyer's Flash film might see the light of day before Whedon's Wonder Woman. I read in one of those entertainment trade magazines (can't remember which one-sorry) that Jessica Alba might be getting cast as Wonder Woman for a movie scheduled for release in 2008-09. The trades, since day one, have been running rumours as to who is up for the part, and none of them have been true. At various times, they have claimed, Alba, Charisma Carpenter, Lindsay Lohan, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Jennifer Aniston to have been cast. At this point, Whedon has gone on record as saying they haven't begun casting yet, and won't until he's happy with the script. He has also stated his desire to cast an unknown in the role. So, at this point, Alba isn't up for the part. Taking into account that she is set to begin filming on Fantastic Four 2 and Sin City 2, pretty much back to back, she can't even consider it at this point. Personally, I'd love to see Morena Baccarin in the part. She has the right look, has worked with Whedon, and is a great actress: ---- [Edited 7/27/06 6:45am] Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones. I also think ANYONE associated with B&R should be banned from doing comic movies forever Do not hurry yourself in your spirit to become offended, for the taking of offense is what rests in the bosom of the stupid ones.
