i've burnt out the tip of my tongue from sunflower seeds! i haven't had any for two days now and it still hurts like a bitch 
these are canadian so i am guessing the majority of you haven't had the pleasure of this wonderful addictive salty snack i swear there is a little bump at the tip of my tongue and everything

 I know what you mean, there was a snack I used to eat and somehow it rubbed my upper palate raw, it must've been the way I ate it. Can't really remember what snack it was though  Then there's potato chips, sometimes I lick the spices off of them and eventually my lips and tongue get little bumps too.

moderatorSpitz are evil! Once you start you cant stop, then you get the rawness in your mouth, but there are so many yummy flavors, and you could sit with them for hours and not get bored of them...wait, this is starting to sound like another activity that is alot of fun  | |

oh, I love sunflower seeds and I have turned my damn tongue white eating those things.
Now David's brand has flavored ones, too. Barbeque is my favorite. Must have an ice cold ginger ale or some other fizzy beverage to wash them down. mmmmm.....sssssalty! | |

. [Edited 7/23/06 10:36am] I love sunflower seeds! Used to eat them a lot when I was little. In fact, people used to tease me and tell me that I must have been part gerbil or something. I used to work with a guy who would always have a bag of sunflower seeds on him. He would eat those things constantly. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you. | |
