My Next Big Trip Every paycheck I put aside about $5 or so for my next big trip. It's been years and I'm up to $754. I figure another few years or less and it's bon voyage.
Where should I go? Greece/Turkey/Eastern Europe India Jordon England/Scotland Scandanavia Antarctica Japan Namibia any other suggestions?

I could advise you but it'll cost you $700 bucks or so
What kind of holiday you looking for? "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

Greece and Turkey!!!! ...Well, if you go to Greece, it would be to go to a Greek island like Santorini...Athens is ok, but apart from the Acropolis and the absolutely amazing ruins that sit atop of it, there's not too much else there that interested me.

What kind of holiday you looking for? I'm not sure... India -- I can go with a group on a spiritual pilgrimage. I've been there before. England/Scotland -- I've never been and it's history is in the American subconscious, feel I should explore it. The other big attraction is that they speak English, which would be a relief after my last big trip. Greece/Turkey/Eastern Europe -- Right now I have a big interest in gypsy music. Maybe I could work with someone in the area... Norway -- Explore my familial roots. Those are the ones I'm leaning toward right now... It's also much more practical for me to travel in the "third world". I get much more bang for my buck. Hotel = $5/night Food = $2/day... That kind of thing.

I'm leaning toward this one. I actually bought a map of the area and hung it on my wall just to remind myself and get a sense of the towns/geography.

Well you could take India out of the equation for now as you've already visited there. The rest would really depend on you And yeah, you're right. Most of the "developing world" won't pinch the pocket as deep as some of the other destinations on your list. "..My work is personal, I'm a working person, I put in work, I work with purpose.."

Greece (Santorini): Turkey (Istanbul): Okay. This part of the world attracts me. The crossroads between the Middle East and Europe. The water.
