Things that you love/loved but have become obsolete Ok first the company that makes the eyeliner I use has gone bankrupt and fucked off so I gotta buy it from ebay @ 3 times its retail price that was... , and now the company that I use when I am buying stationery has just disappeared into thin air!!
Cant get Savoury Straws Crips, neither Hedgehog flavour crisps now.. BUD Light has stopped being sold in England, and what happened to Spangles sweets? Pass the prozac.. Drives me mad! What is the world coming to??? [Edited 7/22/06 10:52am]

Handwritten letters. Technology has destroyed getting a letter in the mail. Nothing but bills come to my mailbox. And the occasional "CD/DVD" packages.

Compact Cassettes...
Or, more specifically, mix-tapes. I used to love making them and I used to love receiving them - but making them was the best thing ever. You had to devote a whole night to working out what you were going to put on it and try to get the timing right, to make it fit 45 minutes. Then you had to sit there, pressing the pause button so you didn't get the "clunk" noise between tracks. The process forced you to listen to each song in it's entirety. Dragging and dropping files to a CD-R, just isn't as much fun.

My parent's had rotary phones forEVer. It reminds me of being a kid and stealing away to the basement to call boys. |
