i hope she gets some closure and satisfaction out of what she's doing, but i think it's bullshit. from my experience, the best way to totally gripe an ex's ass is to completely ignore them, giving them every reason to think you have absolutely no love or even regard left for them. when you show someone you hate them, you're still showing them that you're thinking about them. simple disdain hurts more...and it gets you over the ex much faster, i find. | |

yeah i hate to say it but it's all true. most humans just aren't so clockwork though... i wanted my ex to burn in flames for months.... i kinda still do. but i learnt to ignore her ...and it works... she sends ME emails now and i just can't be fucked with her shit.

Agreed. If you how them you've moved on, and they don't feel that you should have moved on so quickly, it always gets on their nerves. Revenge tactics may even seem a bit flattering, considering they've moved on and probably don't much care how you feel. The only thing that would annoy them is ingoring them--and this is not becuase they still car, but just kind of an ego thing. | |

"did he see what i did? did it make him upset? did i hurt his feelings? did he cry? i'm going to call him and ask. or, no, i'll just call and hang up when he answers. that will be awesome. i wonder if he saw what i did? and if it made him upset?" and so on.  | |

I'm just not a revenge kinda girl. Maybe I've just never been that mad, I don't know. But even when I was cheated on and had my heart utterly, utterly stepped on I still didn't wish the guy ill will. Sure, the fantasies flourish for a short period, and of course you're going to be angry and experience rage and whatnot, but I don't want to do things purposely to hurt anyone. It lowers you a bit, I think. Sometimes there's something to be said for a bit of class. Not to say I don't enjoy seeing this, though. And as you said, I hope she gets what she wants out of it.
But yes, it does just keep you sucked into it all. |
