HEY!!! i'm talking 2 U! YES!!!! YOU!!!!!!!!!! OVER HERE!!!!! well i have a knitted beanie right
and its blue and white and its AMAZING!! but i want something darker now, like black and a lighter tone, like gray or sommin... this is on sale @ urban outfitters, and i love that store, but its in NYC, and to ship it out here is 30! so even tho it's on sale for 7summin im still paying 40$ for the hat! so here's what i'm asking: does anyone know any good stores online that dont shake u out for shipping and that have reasonably priced hats like that? OR does anyone know how to MAKE these? with the visor n everything? i want to learn now 2 knit but im sure i wouldnt perfect my technique before school starts (i wanted to get it before i move to school) i would totally pay for it so long as it's a reasonable price, and on top of that, it would be nicer cuz it's handmade [Edited 7/22/06 20:04pm]

They probably know someone who would love to do it and it wouldn't take very long. Hopefully way cheaper than $40, but then it would be a one of a kind. If i see one around here in OZ i'll hit you with a note okay There'z a store here called Dangerfield that i reckon could have the sorta thing you're after. And it won't be that dear either- their accessories are like $25 max usually!! Where else...is it sold by an online store or is it a little business? Cause if it's by a store, perhaps you could do a bit of googling to find out who the stockists are and whether you can buy it cheaper from them instead? No hablo espanol,no!

$40's a lot to pay out of season for a knit hat, no matter how fly it is.
You can get something like that at a hippie boutique (my nickname for stores that specialize in patches, tie dyes, incense and silver jewelry ) for cheap. And, even if it's not there, I'm sure the salespeople would help you order a comparable cap for about half that $40. I used to love a store like that, back East. *homesick sniffle*
