Monster House... ...is one fun little movie! I went to an early show today with my boyfriend, and we both loved every second of it. Funny, morbid, cute, kinda touching at times, and the animation is fantastic. We hauled our asses out to Coon Rapids to see it in 3-D, which made it even better. I've never seen a full 3-D feature in the theatre, so I really have nothing to compare the experience to, but it was out of sight, dude! The theatre was full of young'uns and their reactions to the film added to the fun. It's also got a timeless feel to it; it looks like the 70s, but has some modern conveniences thrown in for one reason or another.
Cinematically speaking, it's been a bit of a drag this summer, but this one was worth the wait. For me, it's easily the best animated this feature this year, and probably my fave since Finding Nemo.   | |

I have been seening previews for this movie. I so want to see it!! I am Shrek junky...so anything (Hoodwinked, Shrek II, Chicken Little...etc) animated I want to check out. "Pussycat, pussycat whr4 art thou puppy??" | |
