It would be a ways down the line. He's touring now until October, then working on the new Halloween film for a fall 2007 release.

Yes, I know about his touring schedule. He gives a good show.

I'm not mistaken. I know it's a sort of remake (the first half of the film will take place before the start point of the original). I didn't say sequel. You are mistaken; what's this Holloween you speak of? lol

At any rate, my point was that it's gonna be a bit before a new film with the Rejects characters happens.

I love seeing movies by myself. biggrin

Sometimes it's because nobody wants to see my movie (as can be the case with the aforementioned geeky documentaries, which I, too, love . . . or the occasional sappy chick flick, which NOBODY will go to see with me). But often it's just because I want to hang out by myself, and movies are a nice solitary activity.

Plus, don't have to share the popcorn. thumbs up! lol

rolleyes I constantly go to movies alone. I'd miss out on a lot if I waited for people to go with me. lol But watching movies for me is kind of a job, not for entertainment or socializing. Also, I have a lot of connections to the local filmmaking community/film scene, so chances are if I show up at a movie, I'll see someone I know. It can often be a great way to network. I also have a group of film friends and we send out notices when we want to see something and ask if anyone wants to come along.

In fact...I just got home from going alone to see a double feature of silent films starring Janet Gaynor.

I used to work as a film critic so I was regularly invited to press screenings to which I would go alone. This made me used to it, so I can easily do it these days. I prefer having company of others though, despite the fact that I usually don't like to talk about the movie right afterwards (I need to digest it a bit first and hate hearing all the "oh that sucked" or "that ___ scene was soo cool!" talk as I'm exiting the theatre).

I prefer to go alone.

Going with a crowd is great, but going alone is awesome cuase I can do it whenever and whereever I want. Going with someone or several people entails planning and debating and sharing and all sorts of annoying ass shit.

I love press screenings. Besides, who else would want to see an unreviewed movie at 9:30 on a Tuesday morning?

I'm more self-conscious about going to concerts alone. I used to go to the symphony a lot alone, but I don't think I've ever been to a rock concert alone. I've been thinking about changing that pattern though, as the last concert I went to would have been better if I had gone alone.

Yeah, I went to the Middle East alone and travelled all over the place for six weeks by myself. After that, it's a no brainer to go to a movie! lol

I used to go to a particular movie theater after work every Monday. I would just walk in and see any movie, sight unseen. I would choose based only on the title, no preconceptions whatsoever. Hadn't read any reviews. I had some fantastic experiences!

I bet not many people do that. Go to movies blind and just take the ride. biggrin

I watch movies alone at home all the time, working on the computer for all those hours, it's the next best thing to downloads. As for going out to see movies, not so much. There's a lag time involved between the initial release of the movies in theaters to the time it starts to air but the same can be said about dvds.

nod It really stretched me. Of course, I went to a theater that plays only independent or foreign films, but new releases. One of the films I saw in this context was Momento. I was blown away!

I still do this sometimes. For instance, a couple weeks ago, I decided to walk to a theater near my house and watch the first movie that was starting when I got there. I ended up seeing Click with Adam Sandler, which is hilarious because I would NEVER be caught dead watching that movie otherwise. lol

I agree. Friday and Saturday nights, the vibe isn't right to go alone at certain movies. It's better if it's a smaller less crowded theater.

I go alone a lot. For some of my friends it's always a big production to do ANYTHING. With me it's like "meet ya there."
