And I have no idea how else to describe it. okay this is the movie then. they used photoshop. never knew the title til now. I thought, I am be wrong, but I thought I heard that the animation was done by hand. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

Moderator | Ok that didn't take long this is how they made the movie:
Rotoscoping is the rotated projection of a sequence of usually photographed action image frames so that the artist can trace from the frame or create an image to superimpose on it. It can be thought of as "painting on movies" efficiently. Prior to computers, an animation stand called a Rotoscope was used to project a sequence of action frames against a surface so that a set of animation frames could be traced or created. The same work can now be done with digital images and special computer software. Tools that provide efficient ways to rotoscope include Digital Magic and Elastic Reality. Rotoscoping is frequently used as a technique for combining (compositing) cartoon figures with realistic settings in television commercials and is also used for special effects in feature-length films. from:http://whatis.techtarget....923,00.htm In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

No. But Downey Jr and Woody Harrelson are excellent in it.

Die Hard 3(jittery camer work and i was in the front row) Showgirls(one of the closest rows...because it was crowded, not because i'm a perv...well, i am but that's not why) A Scanner Darkly(jitter animation...too much movement?) vodka makes me sick, but hey, if movies do it to you, to each their own.

It can be a very grueling process.
