Since I was just at my state fair yesterday, I had to post this...

It isn't weird, but it's delicious... biggrin

Belgian waffle on a stick, drenched in chocolate and topped off
with whip cream and sprinkles....absolutely yum.

And tony, I wouldn't be able to do the deep-fried twinkies or
candy bars.....that's a little too junk food! lol

It's an old English slang term for a 'carpenter' biggrin

You know, like Jesus was a chippy or Karen and Richard were The Chippies music "...Yesterday Once More... music

no no no! lol

The chippy is Scottish (and maybe English) Slang for the Fish & Chip restaurant, or Chip Shop, the delightful place where you can buy all sorts of wonderful fried goods. Packed in greaseproof paper, of course. And traditionally, newspaper. :drools: Theres a great chippy over the road from me!

Ok, I know it means carpenter as well! But at least mine involves food.

(insert bad joke about the carpenters, or at least Karen, not involving food, here)

i love fried foods. drool chips, cheese, yum. nasty bad for my health so i limit my intake but yum. good.

the weirdest fried food i've ever seen? a sparrow on a stick, like a popsicle.
i did not think it was at all a good idea, nor visually appealing ill but someone bought it for me as a 'treat' so i had a nibble off the wingtip to be polite. neutral

nod lol

Its actually really nice, but its like eating a slice of grease! theyre not in batter, just normal deep-ish pan, 1/2 a 10" pizza but with not much cheese, quickly dunked in the fryer.

I had fish from the chippy for tea drool
