My friend just bought a new mobile phone for his girlfriend yesterday, but can't get mp3s on to it. He downloaded the tracks she wanted from Shareaza, and thought he could just drag them into the removable drive when he plugged the mini-SD card in a card reader into the USB port. Any ideas why this isn't working, or suggestions as to what he should do instead?

The mobile was a special gift for his girlfriend, who works long hours, spends a long time waiting at bus stops and sitting in traffic on the way home and usually doesn't get home until 8pm. He wanted to buy her an mp3 phone so she'd have something to do, and he's desperate to work out how to do this, and you give me that?

i can put mp3s on my motorola phone, but i have to have a special program to do the transfer. same thing to put pictures on my phone. aren't there instructions that came with the phone?

Yeah, but they're not the best. The files are in mp3 format and the phone has a mini-SD card that fits in a kind of dummy SD card, goes in the card reader and then into the USB port. I know very little about phones so I don't really have any suggestions for him. He really wants to work it out because his gf was so happy about having the new phone and being able to listen to music on it.

Do you plug the memory card from your phone into the computer in the same way?
