the best coffee you've ever had....

so tell me. the best coffee i had was at this hotel downtown, i was so excited and hyper (it was so good that i had 3 cups of it-without using Equal) that i forgot to ask the waiter what brand it was..... confused
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

In Seattle they have these coffee stands all over. I had the best blend from one called the Electricbanana.

In Québec Canada at Chevaul (sp) I had the best expresso served to me!

YUM!

when i think of my favorite coffee, i think of the chocolatey tasting coffee they used to serve at MISSION CAFE in nyc, on second avenue. it was cheap and you could sit and guzzle refills all day, and it was SO yummy.

that, and there was a cafe called NINE in the east village that served coffee to your table in a french press, and it tasted DIVOONE. love

i got my own bodum after that and i have to say coffee does taste better that way, but it's never been as good as at that cafe.

oh, and CAFE LIMBO in nyc had wonderful tasting coffee that they'd serve to you in big heavy cereal bowls.

all these great east village cafes with their wonderful coffee are gone now. sad mission cafe is still around, but they don't serve the same kind of coffee anymore. i still highly recommend their steamed eggs plate, though! thumbs up!

My mother used to make really sweat, yet strong coffee. We used to drink BUCKETS at home, I was addicted to the stuff since FOUR. My mom never ever thought about it when it came to my hyperactivity.

Her coffee, Douwe Egberts Red Band brand, was magically boosted with a taste booster called Buisman, which keeps (or puts) the REAL coffee taste in yer cup.

Miss me mum, I do.

I totally thought that read 'the best sex you've ever had'. It makes absolutely no sense why I'd think that. sad

Although I DO equate a good cup with a good romp at times, it appears I could use a quad shot right about now. Thank goodness for the edit button.

Seattle's Best 6th Avenue Bistro Blend with a shot of whiskey in it. I love my Cuisinart, but I stopped using that charcol filter that comes with it because it makes the coffee taste burnt, I use one of those Brita tap filters instead.

Jamaican Blue Mountain.....but most of what you can get in the States is not true Jamaican Blue Mountain.....for some reason is tastes different when drinking it in Ocho Rios, as opposed to your own kitchen table.... shrug

I'll tell you one thing, on my last holiday to America we went to Miami and New York; we failed to find a decent coffee anywhere. Literally! Maybe you guys like your coffee differently to how we do; Starbucks is different out there - I mean, the Four Seasons in New York couldn't even give us a decent machine made cappuccino disbelief

lol

That said, the best coffee I've ever had..hmm..was probably the second cup I ever drank when I realised I loved it.

I am so tired of the org being broken! mad

The short version of the big long thing I typed out before (mad mad mad):

Coffee in the US mostly sucks. When I leave Seattle, I am almost always disgusted by the coffee.

Central Europe, on the other hand, has been kind to me. Vienna = drool .
