You must've been watching The Core on the SciFi Channel today. giggle

I've heard many good things about this one: http://www.thedescentthemovie.co.uk/

Anybody seen it?

I would say that the Statue of Liberty is right up there. Just about every "alien invasion" movie seems to destroy it. And let's not forget that it was almost detroyed in "Day After Tomorrow", damaged in "X-Men", and it was forced to walk away in "Ghostbusters 2".

hmmm
* Manhattan and San Francisco in general don't do very well in SciFi movies. Tokyo also occassionally has bad luck.

* I don't know that they're often destroyed, but the polar ice caps see a lot of action, too.

* Beautiful women (especially blonds) and ethnic minorities usually bite the bullet in horror films, as do people who have sex or show even an inkling of sarcasm somewhere in the movie.
