I'm leaning towards the second shot myself... ...it seems to be getting the most mentions so far. Thanks for the comments, everyone..

I think number 1 or 2, they both spark interest in me. They're great!

They're all very nice shots but I'm leaning towards #2.
My first impression of it - Looking at it feels as though "Coy" has moved on (being untouched by darkness) and "Colunga" was being enveloped by the darkness that lurks. The whole good vs evil thing or passing on vs being stuck in limbo. Hauntingly beautiful.

I like the second and third. The shadows and names own that second one. I like the third for the haunting architecture.
I have some b&w cemetary photos that I took back in college. I'll have to post those when I get home Sunday night.

#2- The shadows give the impression that something is lurking behind the "BROWNstone".
The way they're shaping the COLUNGA stone adds to the creep factor. Also, the clarity of the PETERSON, COLUNGA & COY names gives the impression that they have some secret relationship to BROWN. #4- Nice play on angles. The center "furrow" in the ground gives the pic a great sense of depth. tA Tribal Disorder http://www.soundclick.com...dID=182431 "Ya see, we're not interested in what you know...but what you are willing to learn. I like #3....its makes me think of being closed in & being
outside free! Both aspects!

Byron said:[quote]I took these today...not real crazy about them, when I look at each of them (save for one) I kinda go "eh.."..lol ..So tell me which one, if any, you think is best please...I need to narrow it down to one and work on that one. Thanks..
The first one...the centering makes the picture work, moreso then the 4th one. what a great eye. just out of curiousity, if you were to publish the photo, would you need permission from the family of Dr. Henry? [Edited 7/14/06 14:27pm]

I love asking for opinions here...you guys give some very thought-out reactions and viewpoints, some things I didn't even realize or notice myself...they're sincerely appreciated.

Taking that one was very creepy. It was in a deserted part of the cemetary in Winona, Minnesota, and after I took it I heard a creaking wood sound yet there was no wind or even a breeze. Next week I returned and someone had actually mowed that area of the cemetary.

I like the first tombstone the best, but I like the composition of the 2nd photo the best. The lighting & the words jump out, almost like they're not real. My Legacy
